MOUTHWASH STUDIOS, LOS ANGELES
Nestled in the heart of Los Angeles, Mouthwash Studios—a creative agency known for its bold and innovative work—has transformed its workspace into an extraordinary sanctuary for creativity, collaboration, and connection.
Designed in partnership with Noam Saragosti & Juhee Park the visionaries behind Aunt Design, the studio's newly revamped space seamlessly blends domestic comfort with a rich tapestry of textures, colours, and handcrafted details.
We had the opportunity to chat with Noam to learn more about the design inspiration, atmosphere, and thoughtful curation that brought this space to life.

What inspired the design concept for Mouthwash Studios?
The design concept for Mouthwash Studios was born from their desire to create a space that feels more like a home than a traditional office—a welcoming environment for work, hosting, and collaboration. We drew inspiration from some of our favorite domestic spaces, such as the Maison de Verre, the John Soane House, and houses by Richard Neutra. Each area within the studio tells a unique story, weaving elements of domesticity, creativity, and eccentricity into a unified narrative.
What kind of atmosphere did you set out to create?
We set out to create an atmosphere that is warm, inspiring, and deeply personal—more like stepping into the home of an imaginative collector than a conventional workspace. Each area was designed to feel like a chapter in a larger story, with layers of texture, color, and detail encouraging curiosity and interaction. The result is a space that feels both inviting and creatively stimulating.

Why was it important for you to include handcrafted items in the design of the space?
In designing the studio, we wanted each object to carry a story, a sense of individuality, and a tactile quality that resonates with the studio's ethos of discovery and creativity. Many of the items were created by local artists and artisans who have a close relationship with Mouthwash Studios, adding a layer of personal connection. For instance, the large wooden steps in the living room feature a water sculpture by Lily Clark and a large painting by John Zabawa—both close collaborators and friends of the studio.
What drew you to choose our Braided Jute Rug?
The Braided Jute Rug was the perfect fit for the studio because of its natural texture and understated elegance. Its handcrafted quality complements the space’s layered, eclectic aesthetic, adding warmth and grounding to the entry living room. Placed atop the rug are dark, handmade elements, including a table and stool by Ombia Studio, creating a beautiful contrast and anchoring the space.
